Privacy Policy

1Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the Hue Haul mobile application (the "App") and the Hue Haul website at huehaul.vonkworks.com. It describes how Vonkworks LLC ("Vonkworks", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the App and website.

Hue Haul is designed for a mixed audience that includes children and adults. We use a privacy-protective advertising configuration for all players and additional child treatment for players identified as under 18.

2Who we are

Hue Haul is developed and published by Vonkworks LLC, based in Austin, Texas, United States. Questions from players, parents, guardians, or regulators may be sent to huehaul@vonkworks.com.

3Data stored locally

The App handles a small amount of information on your Android device:

• Age category. On first launch, the App asks for a month, day, and year of birth. The date is validated and used immediately to choose either a restricted or adult category. The birth date and exact age are not saved or sent to Vonkworks. Only the resulting category is saved in Android app storage.
• Current play session. Board state, level, score, and other gameplay values are held in memory while the App runs. The current version does not provide a Vonkworks account, cloud save, or server-side progress storage.

Vonkworks does not receive either category or gameplay state on its own servers. Clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App removes locally stored data.

4Advertising data

Hue Haul uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to request interstitial advertisements between completed levels. The App does not initialize the ads SDK until the first-run age screen has been completed.

According to Google's Mobile Ads SDK disclosure, the SDK may automatically collect and share the following information for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes:

Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. More detail is available in Google's Google Play data disclosure and Privacy Policy.

5Children and families

Hue Haul is intended to be suitable for players of all ages. We take the following measures for children and other younger players:

• A neutral age screen appears before the Mobile Ads SDK is initialized.
• The entered birth date is processed only on-device and is not retained.
• Players under 18 receive Google's child age-restricted ad treatment.
• Under-18 ad requests are limited to G-rated inventory.
• Verified adults are not tagged for child age treatment and do not receive the child G-rating cap.
• Publisher ad personalization is disabled for all players.
• Advertising-ID and Android Privacy Sandbox advertising permissions are removed from the App.
• The App uses Google AdMob directly and does not currently include third-party mediation adapters.
• There are no accounts, chat, user profiles, user-generated content, social sharing, purchases, camera access, microphone access, contacts access, or precise-location access.

A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information to Vonkworks may contact us. Because the App has no accounts and Vonkworks does not receive the birth date or game state, we may have no Vonkworks-held record to locate. We will nevertheless review and respond to the request.

Google processes advertising data as an independent service provider under its own terms and policies. Parents may also use Android and Google Family Link controls available on the child's device or account.

6How information is used

Information described in this policy is used to:

• apply the appropriate child or adult advertising treatment;
• operate the current game session and respond to player actions;
• serve, measure, and protect against fraud in advertisements;
• maintain security, diagnose failures, and improve reliability; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce the Terms of Service.

7Sharing and third parties

Vonkworks does not operate a player database and does not sell a Hue Haul player list. Advertising-related information is transmitted directly to Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google may use service providers and infrastructure described in its own policies.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; to protect the rights, safety, and security of players, Vonkworks, or others; or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of the relevant business, subject to applicable law.

8Retention

The locally stored age category remains until you clear the App's storage or uninstall it. Current game-session data lasts only as long as the Android process keeps it in memory. Google determines the retention period for data it processes through the Mobile Ads SDK under Google's policies and account controls.

9Your choices and rights

• Reset local information: clear Hue Haul's app storage in Android settings or uninstall the App.
• Stop future ad requests: stop using or uninstall the App.
• Google controls: review the privacy, ad, and Family Link controls provided by Google and Android.
• Privacy request: email us to ask about access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, or another right available where you live.

We may need enough information to verify and understand a request, but we will not ask for more information than reasonably necessary. You may also complain to the privacy or data-protection authority in your jurisdiction.

10Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the App's limited data practices. No transmission, device, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep Android and the App updated and protect your device with the security controls available to you.

11International transfers

Vonkworks is based in the United States. Google operates globally, so advertising information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Google describes its international-transfer safeguards in its privacy materials.

12This website

The Hue Haul website is a static site. It does not intentionally set cookies, run analytics, use advertising scripts, accept accounts, or include contact forms. If you email us, your email provider and ours will process the message and address so we can respond.

The hosting provider may create standard server logs containing information such as IP address, request time, requested page, and browser information for security and reliable delivery. The exact hosting provider will be identified here if its practices require an additional disclosure after deployment.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App, website, law, or service providers change. The effective date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page and, when appropriate, communicated in the App or store listing.
